Contents and Schedule
The Leading with Emotional Intelligence program introduces business cases from leading organizations explaining how they use EQ as part of their human capital strategy in order to sustain organizational impact. The program covers the principles of EQ in a practical understandable way, and how you can apply these principles to increase your personal performance, wellbeing, and professional competence.
The Leading with Emotional Intelligence program will be delivered online over two days. It includes group case discussions, group presentations, and taking an EQ assessment. You will receive a 20-page individual EQ development report based on your EQ profile and a summary of the habits that you may have that limit your performance and future opportunities.
Leading Yourself

First you will learn about leading yourself. The topics include
- Understanding the key indicators of personal wellbeing and performance,
- Lessons that leaders can learn from applied neuroscience,
- Using business cases to link increased EQ to improved personal and organizational performance,
- Increased sales, customer focus, engagement, leadership performance, and team results, and
- Introducing the Six Seconds EQ model – eight learnable skills.
Leading Yourself and Others, and Results

Second, you will learn about leading yourself and others, and results. The topics include
- Understanding the link between EQ and the ability to acquire power and influence,
- Creating a workplace atmosphere that promotes high performance, and
- Designing your own self development needs and plan based on your EQ report.

Ben Nothnagel
Ben Nothnagel is a Senior Advisor at Aalto University Executive Education and has worked with Aalto EE for more than 20 years. He specializes in developing the leadership skills of executives who are part of ambitious businesses.
Nothnagel focus is on encouraging individuals and organizations to excel by increasing self-awareness, creating understanding of the individual diversity of performance and results, enhancing influencing skills, and building high performance leadership teams.
Nothnagel’s current research focus on three main areas: neuro-leadership (practical lessons that leaders can learn from neuroscience), cognitive decision-making and emotional intelligence.
